  What is Employment Hero Jobs?  

EH Jobs is a new candidate app that transforms how candidates connect with the right job - and therefore how employers can connect with candidates.

EH Jobs is designed to replace outdated job search techniques with a unified, digital-first experience that goes beyond traditional job boards. Powered by SmartMatch technology, EH Jobs ensures that users connect with businesses that match their skills, location, and preferences—that may have roles available that haven’t been advertised.

  How does the Employment Hero Jobs app work?  

Candidates create a profile in EH Jobs, select local businesses they would like to work for, and submit a digital application to the business. Applicants can include a video introduction alongside their relevant experience for joining your business.

If your business receives applicants, you will receive an email alerting you of this. Follow the link to view applicants online, and connect directly with them, invite them in for a trial shift, and hire them if they are a great fit for your business.

On EH Jobs you’ll be able to let us know if you’re looking for specific roles and if you’re actively hiring, so SmartMatch can deliver better matches for your business.

  What does EH Jobs mean for me as an EH customer?  

This depends on your geographic location and industry. Phase 1 focuses on retail and hospitality businesses in Wollongong and the Lower North Shore, Sydney.

If you run a retail or hospo business in Wollongong or the Lower North Shore, you may receive inbound emails from EH Jobs, sharing candidates who have applied to work at your business. Follow the link in the email to view applicants online, connect directly with them, invite them in for a trial shift, and hire them if they are a great fit for your business.

For now, you won’t receive inbound candidates, but you may see our candidate marketing efforts in your area. There’s no change for customers outside of Wollongong and the Lower North Shore. We hope to launch to more geographies and industries soon after our initial trial launch. We’re committed to delivering on our mission to make employment easier and more valuable for everyone, and tackling hiring challenges is a big part of that. When we expand EH Jobs to more geographies, you’ll be the first to know.

  Why are you sending me candidates for my business?  

EH Jobs is designed to replace outdated job search techniques with a unified, digital-first experience that goes beyond traditional job boards. We are sharing candidates with you who have expressed an interest in working for your business, simply acting as a facilitator for job seekers.

  Who are these candidates you’re sending to me  

Who are these candidates you’re sending to me? Any candidates shared with you via Employment Hero Jobs have expressed an interest in working at your specific business.

  Where do these candidates come from?  

All Employment Hero Jobs candidates have created their own profiles themselves; they are not sourced from any existing databases (e.g. existing customers' employees or Swag job seekers).

  If I hire an EH Jobs applicant, do I have to pay a fee?  

No. Whilst we trial the feature, we’re offering this service at zero cost. Forget paying for job boards and paper CVs, and hire for free with our unified solution.

  How can I opt out of receiving candidate emails from EH Jobs?  

There is a link to opt out from our communications in every emai

  I want to pause notifications as I’m not hiring right now. How can I do this?  

If you’re not hiring right now, you can let us know on the Recent Applicants page under Hiring Status. We’ll pause emails until closer to your hiring time.

  Will my staff be able to use EH Jobs?  

EH Jobs is available to all Job Seekers. In the same way anyone can create a LinkedIn or Seek profile to look for work, anyone can create an EH Jobs profile to find work. EH Jobs simply enables job seekers to be more efficient and powerful with their job search.

Using EH Jobs

  What can I do as an employer on EH Jobs?  

You can review applicants who are interested in working at your business and message them in-app. If they’re a good fit, get them in for a trial, and hire them.

  Can I list my open roles on EH Jobs?  

EH Jobs allows candidates to apply to work at a business, rather than for a specific listed role. However, if there are roles that are regularly open at your business, like a Barista or Bartender for example, you can include these in EH Jobs to enhance your candidate matching. Roles can be found on the All Applications screen.

We are focusing on businesses rather than open roles to unlock more job opportunities for job seekers, rather than being limited to the jobs that are listed online.

  Why is my business not listed on EH Jobs?  

In this phase 1 launch, we are only listing retail and hospitality businesses in Sydney and Wollongong. If you are outside of these geographic areas or industries, you can’t be listed on EH Jobs for now. We are hoping to expand to new areas and industries soon, and our customers will be the first to know when we do.

  Can I list my business on the Employment Hero Jobs app?  

The list of businesses in EH Jobs is based on geographic boundaries, and the presence of a careers email available on your business’ website.
If you are not in these industries or regions, you currently can’t be listed on EH Jobs. Once our phase 1 trial is complete, we intend to expand regions and industries.

  Where can I find applicants to my business?  

Applicants can be found by following the links in the EH Jobs emails to the mobile-friendly web experience. We have plans to bring this in-app, but phase 1 will be a web experience.

  Can I find EH Jobs applicants in the Employment Hero Platform?  

Not at the moment. For now, applicants can only be found by following the link in the emails to EH Jobs.

  I want to get involved in the trials, how can I do so?  

If you are not in a retail or hospitality business in Wollongong or Lower North Shore, you currently can’t be listed on EH Jobs. Once our phase 1 trial is complete, we intend to expand regions and industries.

  Will my existing candidates be required to use the EH Jobs App?  

No. Your open roles and attached job postings will remain where they are. You will still manage your applicants in Recruitment. EH Jobs is a separate initiative, and applicants will not be integrated into Recruitment.

  Will my open roles in Recruitment appear on EH Jobs?  

No. Your existing candidates will remain in Recruitment in Employment Hero. EH Jobs works separately to the rest of the Employment Hero platform for now, and your open roles won’t be available in EH Jobs.

  Why did I receive this email?  

Our candidate App, EH Jobs allows candidates to find businesses they want to work for and to express their interest by sending an email containing their profile. You received an email because a candidate wanted to discuss employment opportunities with you.

  Is this spam?  

No, the email relates to an individual applying for a job and does not contain an offer of goods, services or business opportunities - therefore falls outside of the Spam Act. The authorised sender is an individual and does not contain any commercial messages.

  How did you get my details?  

We only use information that is publicly available. We used the email address published on your business’s website.
