Set up and manage Pay Split

Pay Split lets you choose where and how to split your salary. You can choose to process your payment into your Swag Spend Account or split your pay into multiple bank accounts.

The following outlines the steps to split your salary, add more bank accounts, and stop your Pay Split.

Important

Before choosing to split your salary, check with your payroll administrator to find out if they have a cut-off date for any salary payment changes.

How to set up Pay Split

Set up Pay Split by percentage amount
    1. Tap on the Money icon.
    2. Tap on the Spend option along the top bar.
    3. Tap on the Payments button.

Helpful Hint

If you belong to multiple organisations; Tap on the organisation you want to split from and then tap Confirm

  1. Tap on Allocate a Percentage.

  2. Select the percentage amount of your salary you would like to deposit into your Swag Spend Account.

  3. Read the disclaimer and tap Got it.

  4. Review the summary of your Pay Split details and tap Confirm.

  5. Tap Done to return to the Money screen.

Important

Please make sure you update any direct debits or associated recurring payments. You can also add a new bank account from your HRIS platform via the the Bank Details feature.

Set up Pay Split by dollar amount
    1. Tap on the Money icon.
    2. Tap on the Spend option along the top bar.
    3. Tap on the Payments button.

Helpful Hint

  1. Tap on Allocate an amount.

  2. Enter the dollar amount you want to split and tap Next.

  3. Read the disclaimer and tap Got it.

  4. Review the summary of your Pay Split details and tap Confirm.

  5. Tap Done to return to the Money screen.

Important

Please make sure you update any direct debits or associated recurring payments. You can also add a new bank account in your HRIS platform via the the Bank Details feature.

Further information

Add additional bank accounts
You can have your pay go into one bank account or multiple accounts. Currently, you cannot add another bank account to your HR web platform via the Swag app, so you will need to login to your HRIS website profile to add another bank account.

Stop your salary split
    1. Login in to your HR web platform.
    2. Go to People.
    3. Go to My Profile
    4. Click on Banking details.
    5. Click on the red cross to remove any Pay Splits you may have set up.
    6. Click on Update.

Warning

If you have split your salary into multiple bank accounts, you can only split all your pay to your Swag Spend Account via your HR web platform. Alternatively, you can select the dollar amount you want paid into your Swag Spend Account from your web-based profile in the banking details section.

Can I use Pay Split if I am a Xero user?
Yes, however Pay Split by percentage is not currently available to users of Xero payroll platform, only Pay Split by dollar amount and Pay Split all of my pay are available to Xero users.
