How do Cashback offers work?
To access Cashback offers and get the Cashback, you need a Swag Spend account and a Swag Spend Visa debit card. To find this in the Swag app, follow the below instructions:
- Open the Swag app. If you do not have the app yet, click here to download the Swag app.
- Tap on the Benefits icon.
- Tap on Cashback.
- Scroll through the Cashback offers.
- Once you have made your selection, tap on the selection.
- Tap on Shop Now.
- Once you have completed your purchase on the vendor website, your Cashback will be deposited into your Swag Spend account.
You can check your list of transactions and their status in the Swag app. After the Cashback approval timeframe has passed, the Cashback will deposit into your Swag Spend account.
Where can I find Cashback offers?
There are two types of cashback offers: online cashback offers and in-store cashback offers.
Online cashback allows you to browse the cashback offers in the Employment Hero app and purchase from the merchant's online store via a tracked link using your Hero Wallet Visa debit card.
In-store cashback offers allow you to register your Hero Wallet card and then shop in-store.
You can find offers near your location or address by following the instructions in this article.
How long does it take to receive my Cashback?
For purchases made in-store, you should see your Cashback immediately. Purchases made online via the Swag app may take 30-90 days before the cashback is deposited into your Swag Spend account. You can check the status of a cashback at any time in the Swag app.
I need to return what I purchased - will I get to keep my Cashback?
Returning or exchanging items on a Cashback order will void any Cashback earnings.
Where are my card details stored?
Your card details are encrypted on the device and securely sent to our Cashback partner. Card details are only ever displayed in part to identify cards in the Swag app. Swag does not store your card details in any form. Any information is handled in accordance with our data and privacy policies.
How do I find businesses offering discounts?
You can search for the name of your favourite business or store inside the Cashback offers section of the app. You can find the instructions as to how to find this in the Swag app here.
You can also use the maps function for in-store cashback offers. Follow the below instructions:
- Log into your Swag app.
- Tap on the Benefits icon.
- Tap on Online or In-store.
- If you choose in-store, Swag will ask for permission to use your location to find Cashback offers near you. Tap Allow Once or Allow While Using App.
- Swag will then display Cashback offers near you.
- If you choose online, you will be able to search by using the search bar, or by offer category.
What are the benefits of using Swag Cashback offers?
- You can access great offers from the brands that you love.
- You can make your pay go further by shopping through the Swag Store and accessing exclusive discounts.
- You can support local Australian businesses.
Which account can I get my Cashback earnings deposited into?
Cashback amounts will be added to your Swag Spend account only. You can easily transfer money from your Swag Spend account by following these instructions (under "Send money from the Swag Spend account?").
Can I use any credit card or debit card to pay for a Cashback offer?
Yes. Up to 5 Visa cards (including Swag Spend Visa debit card) and 5 Mastercards can be enrolled in Cashback offers. However, you will need to open a Swag Spend account to claim any of the Cashback earnings, as Cashback is deposited into the Swag Spend account only. Unfortunately, Amex cannot be used with the Cashback feature at this time.

Why have I not received my Cashback yet on a settled transaction?
You can contact the Swag Spend Help team via the Swag app:
- In the Swag app, tap Benefits.
- Go to the Support tab.

Why have I not received my Cashback yet on an unsettled transaction?
Please wait for the settlement date for the transaction. You can find this in the "Pending" section of the Cashback screen. If the settlement date has passed, then contact support by following the below instructions:
- In the Swag app, tap Benefits.
- Go to the Support tab.
- Tap the Help button.
- Tap the Contact Us button.
How do I delete my account and unsubscribe from the Cashback program?
You can contact the Swag Spend Help team via the Swag app:
- In the Swag app, tap Benefits.
- Go to the Support tab.
- Tap the Help button.
- Tap the Contact Us button.
How do I know which purchases are eligible for Cashback?
All of our Cashback-eligible offers are found in the Cashback section of the Swag app. Access this by following the below instructions.
- Open the Swag app. If you do not have the app yet, click here to download the Swag app.
- Tap on the Benefits.
- Tap on Cashback.
- Scroll through the Cashback offers.
How is Cashback calculated?
Cashback amount is calculated once GST and delivery fees have been deducted.
What are the eligibility rules for Cashback?
You may not be eligible for Cashback in these situations:
- If a gift card is purchased or used as payment
- If your order is not fully completed online
- If your order is cancelled, exchanged or returned
- If your purchase did not comply with the offers' terms and conditions.
Why is my spent amount different from the qualifying amount for cashback?
GST, delivery costs and products that are returned do not contribute to the purchase amount that is eligible for Cashback.
Can I use Swag's cashback program in conjuction with other cashback programs ?
No. If your card is currently enrolled with other cashback programs using Pokitpal, you will not be able to use that card to enrol in Swag's cashback program. If you would like to enrol a card for Swag's cashback program, but the card has already been enrolled in another program, you will need to unenrol from the existing cashback program and then enrol the card into the Swag cashback program for Swag's cashback benefits.
