The Leave feature in Swag allows you to see your current leave balance, submit leave requests and also see the status of any previously submitted requests. You can also change or delete a request if it is no longer relevant.
How to manage leave

Request leave
- Log into the Swag app.
- Tap on the Work icon.
- Select Leave from the menu bar across the top of the Work home screen.
- You will now be shown your Leave screen and your balances and requests.
- To request leave, tap the Leave Request Button.
- You now need to fill out the Leave Request form.
- First, you will be asked to choose a leave category:
- Annual Leave
- Compassionate Leave
- Family and Domestic Violence Leave
- Leave Without Pay
- Personal/Carer’s Leave
For details on what each category means, your employer should provide you with more information. Please ask your System Administrator for direction on this.
- Next, select a First and Last day for the leave you wish to take. After each selection, tap Confirm.
- The app will calculate how many hours or days this equates to, reliant on what your employer has set this to.
- You can then add notes if needed.
- To add an attachment, tap Add Attachment.
- Select to take a photo, select a photo from your camera roll, or select file for any required documentation to accompany or support your leave request.
- Tap Submit.
Your request will then go to your manager to be approved or denied. You will be notified through the app and by email when they do this.
View my leave balance
Edit my leave requests
- Log into the Swag app.
- Tap on the Work icon.
- Along the top bar, scroll across to tap on Leave.
- Below your leave balances, you will see that each Leave Request can be seen historically in the app and its status is next to it - Pending, Approved, Denied.
- To edit a pending leave request, tap the request and then change the dates if needed or add new supporting documentation.
- Tap Submit.
