Configuring access WorkZone features in Swag via HR and payroll accounts

If you are a dual HR and payroll user, this feature will allow you to setup your business so that you can provide your employees access to HR features such as HR documents, Certifications, Policies and many more, while also having access to features that you were familiar with on WorkZone such as Clocking In/Out with Timesheets, Rostering, Unavailability, Expenses and Leave.

First, configure your HR settings

  1. Open your HR software
  2. Click on the Settings submenu.
  3. Click on Menu under the Customisation subheading. 
  4. Untick the following:
    • Leave requests
    • Rostering
    • Timesheets
    • Expenses
  5. Click Save. 
  6. Now you will need to log into your payroll platform to complete the second half of configuration. 

Secondly, configure your payroll settings

  1. Open your payroll platform. 
  2. Click on Payroll Settings.

  3. Click on Employee Portal Settings.

  4. Select whether you want your employees to be able to:
    • Apply for leave
    • Apply for expense reimbursement
    • Set their own availability
    • Access and manage timesheets
    • Clock in/out using WorkZone
    • Capture a photo when clocking in/out
  5. Click Save.

  6. Click on the Access tab.

  7. Under the Access column, ensure that your employees have Access Enabled
  8. If your employees do not have Access Enabled, tick the check box to the left of the employee names. 
  9. Click Grant Access.

  10. Now the configuration is complete.
