Troubleshooting ClockMeIn and clock in/out issues with Swag via Work HR

ClockMeIn is a kiosk platform that allows employees to clock in at their place of work using an iPad or similar. It is separate from the Clock me in platform that lets employees clock in on their phones.

If you want to use the ClockMeIn feature and the clock-in-and-out feature in Swag, follow the instructions below to set this up correctly.


 

Step 1: Ensure the open beta settings are configured

Warning

The beta needs to be turned on before clients sync payroll with their HR web platform so that employees can view their timesheets and rosters in the Swag app.

Follow these instructions in this article to correctly set up open beta so you can access Timesheets, Rostering, Unavailability, Expenses and Leave.

Step 2: Check your ClockMeIn settings in payroll
If you have not set up your ClockMeIn kiosk, ensure that your kiosk is properly set up by following the instructions:
Step 3: Configure payroll settings

Warning

  1. Log into your payroll account. 
  2. Click on Business Settings.
  3. Click on Payroll Settings.
  4. Click on Employee Portal Settings.
  5. Make sure the following is unticked:
    • Change personal details
    • Change bank details
    • Employees can apply for leave

  6. Ensure that clock in/out with Swag is enabled.
  7. Click Save.

Step 4: Invite employees
  1. Log into your payroll account.
  2. Click on Business Settings.
  3. Click on Payroll Settings.
  4. Click on Employee Portal Settings.
  5. Click on Access.
  6. Tick the employees that you would like to grant access to.
  7. Click on Grant Access.

  8. Next, click on Payroll Settings. 
  9. Click on Time and Attendance.
  10. Click on Employee Access. 
  11. Tick the employees that you would like to send and invitation to.
  12. Click Grant Access.
