How do I apply for a job via the Swag Jobs Web Platform?

The Swag Jobs Web Platform has a jobs matching feature. It allows you to enter your details into our platform, choose the location you want to work in, and your relevant skills. We will then present to you a list of jobs we think you match their requirements. The list updates regularly as new jobs are added, so it is a good idea to check this list periodically if you are looking for a new role.

Getting started

Setup your job matching page
  1. Log in to your Swag Jobs account.
  2. Click the SmartMatch tab.
  3. Enter the job type that you are looking for.
  4. Click the Next button.


    Helpful Hint

    If you are looking for jobs like "Support Worker," "Front of House / Bar Staff," or "Childcare," you will be taken to the Certifications screen. This extra step lets you complete right away additional screening relevant to the role you are looking for.

    Depending on the position, this may include information about your work experience, certifications, and other requirements.

  5. Enter your postcode.

    Helpful Hint

    We use your postcode to recommend job roles near you.

  6. Click the Next button.
  7. Slide the circle to choose the distance you are willing to travel for work.
  8. Click the Next button.
  9. Enter your current or most recent job title.
  10. Click the Next button.
  11. Enter your current or most recent company.
  12. Click the Next button.
  13. Enter your start date with that company.

    Important

    Click the Still in This Role tick box if you are still in your role in that company.

  14. Click the Next button.
  15. If you have left your most recent role, enter your end date with that company.
  16. Click the Find Matches button.

Daily activities

Apply for a job
  1. Log in to your Swag Jobs account.
  2. Click the SmartMatch tab.
  3. Click the role you are interested in.
  4. Click the Apply Now button.
Apply for a job: Saved by a hiring manager
  1. Log in to your Swag Jobs account.
  2. Click the SmartMatch tab.
  3. Click the role that has a   icon.

    Helpful Hint

    Having a   on a specific job means a hiring manager has saved your Swag profile for that role. You will also receive an email notification for this.

  4. Click the Quick Apply button.

  5. Click the Quick Apply button in the pop-up.

  6. Click the Finish button.

    Helpful Hint

    You can scan the QR code to download the Swag app and be able to message the hiring manager directly if you have questions.

Update my job matching criteria
  1. Log in to your Swag Jobs account.
  2. Click the SmartMatch tab.
  3. Click the Update Match Criteria button.
  4. Edit the information you want to update.

    Helpful Hint

    We use your address to recommend roles near you to reduce travel time and cost.

  5. Click the Find Matches button.
View my matched jobs
  1. Log in to your Swag Jobs account.
  2. Click the SmartMatch tab.
View my profile's SmartMatch analytics
  1. Log in to your Swag Jobs account.
  2. Click the   button beside your email address.
  3. Click the Profile button.


    Helpful Hint

    You will see the following information:

    • How many times has your SmartMatch profile ‌been recommended to employers.
    • How many employers have saved your profile.
    • How many views your public profile has gotten.

Manage SMS Messaging from SmartMatch

Turn on SMS messaging from SmartMatch

You can opt to turn on SMSes from SmartMatch, notifying you ‌when a recruiter saves your Swag Jobs profile, sends you a message in SmartMatch or sends you an email.

  1. Log in to your Swag Jobs account.
  2. You will see a pop up to add your mobile phone number to receive SmartMatch SMS notifications.
  3. Enter your mobile phone number into the text field.

  4. Click the Turn on button.

If you do not see a pop-up to turn on SMS notifications

  1. Log in to your Swag Jobs account.
  2. Click on your name or email address in the top right-hand side corner of the screen.
  3. Under Never miss another job opportunity with SMS notifications! toggle the switch to the right to receive SMS notifications.

Turn off SMS messaging from SmartMatch
  1. Log in to your Swag Jobs account.
  2. Click on your name or email address in the top right-hand side corner of the screen.
  3. Under Never miss another job opportunity with SMS notifications! toggle the switch to the left to stop receiving SMS notifications.

Further information

How will I know if organisations are taking an interest in my profile?

You will receive an immediate email if an organisation shortlists you for a job or adds you to a job listing. You will also receive an email about how many times your file has been viewed in the last week.

Additionally, if you have SMS notifications turned on, you will receive an SMS notification when a recruiter sends a direct message or an email to you, or has saved your Swag Jobs profile.

Keeping your profile updated and complete will help us help us match you with the best jobs.

What is a SmartMatch role?

A SmartMatch role is a job that is not yet live but which may become a role in the future. Instead of applying for an existing job, you will be showing interest and placing yourself in a queue for a possible future role that might go live.
